Among the non-communicable diseases, the rare diseases awareness, diagnosis and treatment has become a challenging task especially in developing countries. To address this gap in the field of health sciences, The Sector of Education at the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) is taking an initiative to start series of webinars in partnership with INTERGEN (Genetics and rare disease diagnosis Centre), COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan along with local educational institutions/universities from Pakistan including Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology, University of Malakand, University of Swat, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, and Health Services Academy Islamabad. The first webinar will be on 23rd of October 2024. The event will allow participants to understand the basic knowledge to advanced understanding about rare and undiagnosed diseases.
The event is intended for medical scientists, trainees and researchers, health and life scientists and students.
